She can also be petty and cunning, such as the time she stole the Demon Lord's painting away from Himekawa by surprising him into turning around and then knocking him out from behind (this was a breaking point in their relationship, as Himekawa considered this action, and her confession of being a woman, to be a form of betrayal because she hid the truth from him for ten years). Despite her initial condenscending behavior towards Himekawa and his group, she is actually very deeply in love with him and wants to get married early. She had fallen in love with Himekawa since they were in first grade, but she did not want to tell him because she was afraid of ruining their friendship. She explained that she had felt tortured by her hidden feelings and her doting grandfather decided to arrange a marriage between them. He loves playing pranks and tricking people with his lies, and often has the most fun tricking Yakuma, but does not try and trick Uzume or Pochi as often. On the other hand, he absolutely hates to be tricked, and also hates troublesome things. He is quite studied and has knowledge on many things, but that knowledge was all learned from books in the village of the orphans, so when he experiences something he's never seen before, he has a tendency of getting excited. Lenneth Valkyrie and her Einherjar investigate an abandoned cathedral that is the Vampire's lair. We learn that the Vampire was once a human priest who wished to rescue a girl from a painful life at the church. He escaped with her through a window, but the girl died in the fall and became an Undead. The priest, presumably turned into a Vampire from the resulting negative emotions of this trauma, purified her into a spirit bound to the cathedral. When Lenneth and the Vampire confront one another in battle, the girl's spirit appears and begs everyone to stop fighting and to find forgiveness. The Vampire confesses that he can never forgive himself and Lenneth performs the only Nebilung Valesti in the manga to destroys the Vampire, subsequently purifying the cathedral and putting an end to the girl's spirit.
