- abel-geiger comment "Abel is German and works as the Pierrot of the Troupe, in charge of comedy and laughter. He wears clown make-up while on stage, and performs all kinds of amusing antics such as juggling, acrobatics, and standing on a large ball. Even though he is the Pierrot, Abel can be very serious and wise at times. He is a very well educated man, somewhat of a scholar and mentor figure; he helps Nadja to look for books in libraries and reads her mother's diary, which is written in German, a language Nadja does not know since she has been raised in England. Behind Abel's Pierrot make-up lies a sad past and a family he had to leave behind; he was the doctor of an impoverished village, but spent a time in jail after stealing medicine from an hospital to save his patients from an epidemy and had to abandon his family after his release, since his son Stefan had the illness and was left in a wheelchair. - abel-nightroad comment "A Catholic priest who seems to be nothing more than a clumsy, absent-minded fool on the surface. In truth, he is a Crusnik, a vampire of extreme, extraordinary power, and is an ancient being, hundreds of years old. He is a vampire that feeds on the blood of vampires. But despite his strength, he adheres to a principle of pacifism and often refuses to outright kill his opponents, also he has sworn to never kill a human again and adheres to that promise regardless of how hard it gets for him to do so. Abel is shown in flashbacks to have a hatred for humanity, but at some point that changes into his current pacifistic and peaceful outlook on life. He acknowledges having greatly sinned at some point in his life, though it is unclear as to what sin he committed, and much of his current personality is based on retribution for his sins. Abel has at one point referred to his Crusnik form as "a mark of his sins", though it is unknown what he meant by that. He has feelings towards Esther Blanchett, though they are more related to her similarities with a woman from his past. In his human form he fights with a gun that shoots silver bullets. As a Crusnik, is able to transform into various forms based on the amount of nanomachines in his body that he activates. In his higher forms he wields a huge scythe materialized from his own blood. In The Star Of Sorrow II, it is revealed that pre-Armageddon, Nightroad was Commander in the UN Air and Space Force involved in the "Red Mars" project. [...] The following information may contain spoilers for those who wish to read the manga/novel: On the surface, Abel appears to be a clumsy, absent-minded Catholic priest who has bad luck with money and is always hungry. In reality, he is a Crusnik, a vampire with extraordinary powers that feed especially on other vampires. Nearly a millennium in age, Abel was created in 2088 A.D. as one of four test tube babies whose bodies were infused with Crusnik nanomachines by the Mars human colonists. Abel once had a hatred for humanity and joined the Methuselah in the war against humans after the Armageddon. During the war between the humans and Methuselah, Abel Nightroad killed seven million humans. Lilith's death during the war caused him to abandon his hatred. He spent 900 years weeping and mourning in Lilith's crypt at the Vatican, until a young Caterina Sforza fled there to escape Methuselah assassins. Abel, realizing that it was his task to continue Lilith's work and defend the humans, saved the young Caterina and chose to live on. He joined the AX at its foundation in May, 3055 A.D. In penance for his earlier sins, Abel now adheres to a strict principle of pacifism and has taken a vow not to kill unless he absolutely must. Though accepting of his Crusnik form, he will generally only use it as a last resort. After meeting Esther, he is reluctant to use his Crusnik form in a battle for fear of her seeing it, and after she does see it for the first time, Abel is extremely distraught and screams in agony. Later he tells her it is the mark of his sins. Notably, in regards to Esther, in the novels and manga, Abel first reveals his Crusnik form during the Star of Sorrow arc, not long after he meets her, and, in the manga, part of her reasons for joining AX is to find out more about Abel (also in the novels, he is nowhere near as distraught for showing her as in the anime). He seems to be oblivious to Esther's romantic feelings for him, and possibly to his own feelings for her. Asthe seems to have noticed, though, and calls him a dunce for not being bothered by Ion's affections for Esther. While he mostly responds to her with fatherly affection, when he thought she had been killed, he lost control of himself and went into Crusnik form, seeming to delight in killing the Methuselah Radu who he thought had killed Esther. It is Esther that helps him return to normal. Abel eventually learns that Lilith's killer and his brother, Cain, is still alive and swears to find and kill him, once and for all. After Abel finds and confronts him, Cain defeats Abel and sends him into a near death state. While Esther mourns at Abel's grave, Cardinal Caterina retrieves the nanomachines from Lilith's body and sends Father Tres to take them to Abel in order to revive him. Tres delivers them to Abel's grave, both reviving him and allowing him to achieve 100% Crusnik fusion without the insanity that manifested in Cain. Immediately afterwards, Cain arrives and Abel battles him again, but the fight ends in a draw and Abel must continue his quest to destroy his brother, now joined by Ion Fortuna In his human form, Abel fights with a gun loaded with silver bullets. With 40% of his Crusnik nanomachines activated, his eyes become red, his lips turn dark blue, his teeth become fangs, and a gigantic red scythe composed of crystallized blood materializes in his hands. At 80% activation, his nails turn into claws, grows black wings and he can generate massive amounts of electricity. He can only achieve this form, or higher, if he has fed on a vampire, otherwise there is a risk the nanomachines will refuse the command and cause him to collapse. At 100% activation, he turns into a humanoid creature with dark skin, black bat-like wings, and blue markings that cover his entire body. He also generates more electricity than his 80% form and a second blade forms on the other end of his blood scythe. While in Crusnik form, the blood of Methuselah is drawn to him and goes directly into his body without using his fangs. (Source: Wikipedia)".

He has long black hair and the remains of his Hollow mask takes the form of a beak like helmet atop his head. His Hollow hole is not visible. He is extremely violent, impulsive, rude and impatient. Before engaging in battle he performs a "ritual" which consists of him screaming all the things he is going to do to his opponent, while demanding they do the same as a way to psyche each other out. He becomes quite annoyed if they don't do the same and he will angrily and, comically, scold them. In fact, Balalaika and Hotel Moscow was planning to go into battle to destroy the cartel. However, a series of events caused a modification to those plans. Abrego was to take custody of Garcia Lovelace after his superiors in Colombia had kidnapped the young boy to blackmail his father into selling their lands to them. However, as he waited for the boy to arrive, he had gotten news that a young woman in a strange outfit was going around Roanapur City looking for him. Taking his soldiers with him, he cornered the young woman at the Yellow Flag Bar – and found out the woman was the Lovelace's maid Roberta – and also found out that Roberta was the infamous "Bloodhound of Florencia", the former terrorist Rosarita Cisneros after she opened fire on them with a shotgun disguised as an umbrella! Things for Abrego went from bad to worse when the Lagoon Company, who were escorting Garcia, arrived at the bar for a good time. After a brief battle with Revy – and after the Lagoon Company fled the bar with Garcia, Roberta then bade the remainder of Abrego's men farewell – then dropped several grenades from under her skirt, which exploded, destroying the bar and killing Abrego's men – but not Abrego, who was picked-up by Balalaika's men. - ac-dc comment "ACDC is one of the Pillar Men that were discovered by Nazis in Rome. Like Wham and Cars, ACDC is very confident in his powers and abilities and see humans as inferior. However, he has a more violent temper than the others to the point that he has to cry and sob to calm himself down. He is named after Australian Hard rock band AC/DC. ACDC uses "the skill of fire". He raises his body temperature in order to heat his blood to 500°C. He then extends his blood vessels out of his body and makes them into long, prehensile needles with which he injects his hot blood into enemies, dissolving them from within. Even if the blood isn't injected directly, it can still eat through flesh and metal alike if sprayed on a target from the outside. AC/DC has been shown to have an extremely erratic temper, sobbing at the sight of his own severed arm, only to calm himself near-instantly and replace it with the arm of Loggins. He himself stated that he has a more explosive temper than either of his brethren, and claims to openly express any rage or sorrow he feels so he doesn't lose his self-control. ACDC had traveled to ancient China and knew Sun Tzu's theory that "all warfare is based on deception". In his battle with Joseph Joestar, he tries to intimidate him by disabling Joseph's deceptive tactics. ACDC cuts the hidden rope through which Joseph plans to send Ripple energy to hurt him. Nevertheless, he falls for Joseph's more sophisticated deception, for Joseph has predicted his action and employed the cut-and-restore rope trick on the rope. His bones and muscles are destroyed, but his brain and blood vessels possess Suzi Q, who takes the Red Stone of Aja and sends it to Cars in Switzerland. ACDC then prepares to turn Suzi Q into a "blood bomb", planning on pressurizing his boiling blood until her body bursts, killing himself and Joseph's group in the process. Joseph and Caesar attack Suzi Q at the same time. While their Ripples cancel each other out and keep Suzi Q unharmed, ACDC is destroyed. (Source: Wikipedia)".

- accelerator comment "Age: 15-16 Height: 168 cm Hair color: white Eye color: red Classification: Esper Affiliation: GROUP (Former operative) Occupation: Nagatenjouki Academy Level: 5 Partner: Last Order Ability: One-Way Road Quote: "Just because I've gotten weaker, it doesn't mean that you got stronger, right?" Accelerator is the most powerful Psychic in Academy City. His real name is unknown, though Accelerator recalls his surname was composed of two characters and his given name consisted of three characters. First appearing as an antagonist of the third light novel, he later becomes a main character and the lead of the science side in the Toaru Majutsu no Index series, especially in volumes 5, 8, 12, 13, SS1, SS2, 15, 14, 19, and 20. A sadistic boy about the same age as Touma, he has an ability called "Vector Change," a form of telekinesis allowing him to change the vector values of anything he touches due in part of having a thin coat of AIM fields surrounding his body. This ability allows Accelerator perform feats such as reversing the blood flow inside a person's body, increasing the wind velocity around him to create a massive plasma storm, and blocking sound. His ability is automatic, which means that he must consciously allow gravity to affect him and that his body blocks all ultraviolet radiation, resulting his albino appearance (white hair and pale skin) because his body is unable to make melanin. The automatic nature of Redirection also prevents the use of projectiles (like bullets) and explosives (like bombs) against him. Accelerator's unique ability made him the subject of an experiment attempting to create the first Level 6 ESPer; according to the city's best supercomputer, Tree Diagram (which was unprecedentedly destroyed by Index's Dragon Breath), this feat could only be achieved by killing 128 skilled Level 5 ESPer without a single failure. Since there are only six other known Level 5s in Academy City, an alternative plan was formed to "level up" Accelerator by having him kill 20,000 skilled Level 3 ESPers: the Misaka clones. He willingly joins the experiment to gain a reputation as the most powerful and feared ESPer that no one would be foolish enough to challenge and even killed many who got in his way. Mikoto tries to stop the experiment to save her sisters, but it is Touma who finally does so and defeats Accelerator after discovering his weakness: Accelerator was physically weak because of his total reliance on his powers. Overconfidence in his psychic abilities resulted in his defeat as Touma beat him with his Imagine Breaker and street-fighting skills. After his defeat in volume three of the light novels, he reappears in the fifth novel where his past was also revealed. He was taken to Academy City at a young age when his powers were first discovered but due to a lack understanding of his powers, people feared him and in some cases tried to kill him. Due to the many attempts on his life and the numerous experiments performed on him, these events shaped Accelerator into a sadist and made it hard for him to trust anyone except for Kikyou Yoshikawa, the only scientist who ever cared about him and saved his life. He also takes a more heroic role by protecting a young girl named Last Order, the last Misaka clone who believes through the memories of the Sister clones who fought him that Accelerator is not a bad person and actually never wanted to hurt the clones, trying to frighten them and telling them not to fight him, a theory Accelerator dismisses. In the aftermath of the incident, Accelerator is shot in the head by Ao Amai, damaging his brain and severely limiting the use of his power. Accelerator returns in the eighth novel with an electrode made by Heaven Canceler that links his brain with the Misaka Network. With this he is able to use half of his powers, but the battery of the electrode can only allow him to use them for 15 minutes and due to the injury he suffered, he is forced to use a cane. Toward the end of volume 13, Accelerator begins to "awaken" after nearly being killed by Amata Kihara and truly "awakens" in volume 15, gaining Black Wings, when fighting another "awakened" level 5, Teitoku Kakine, showing he no longer needs to touch in order to use his powers. In the events of the 19th novel he meets Aiwass, a higher dimensional being, summoned to their plane of existence. Aiwass explains to him when AIM entities like him are manifested, Last Order is heavily strained and may die if left untreated. To help Last Order, who has collapsed from sustaining Aiwass, Accelerator follows Aiwass' advice and heads to Russia during World War III in search of Index, unaware that he has met her before. In Russia, after being ambushed by Russian mages, he acquires the "Goatskin," a mysterious document sought after by both Academy City and the Russian government that has the knowledge about the Archangels and Heaven, and later runs into a Misaka WORST clone, learning that Aleister intends to eliminate Last Order, now obsolete to create a new Misaka network. Despite being more powerful than the Misaka WORST clone, Accelerator is unable to bring himself to harm another clone after the Level 6 experiment and becomes mentally unstable after the clone attempts to kill Last Order and later tries to kill herself. Accelerator goes on a rampage until Touma arrives where he turns his frustration regarding Last Order's condition onto Tma and a fight ensues between the two. After Accelerator is defeated again, Touma uses his Imagine Breaker to stabilize Last Order and leaves a note informing him of Index's true whereabouts. Later, he joins forces with Elizarinian soldiers and Misaka WORST to find spies in their country, and fought Archangel Gabriel along with Hyouka, where after studying the Goatskin, he learns to understand the angel's language turning him into an angel as a side effect. With his new powers, he is able to decode one of Index's songs and was finally able to cure Last Order but is injured in the process. After the war of Russia ended, Accelerator made sure Academy City's Board of Directors had ordered to disband all underground factions of Academy City like GROUP, ITEM etc. With that, he finally dragged himself, and Last Order and Misaka WORST out of Academy City's dark side. But as he was getting used to the peaceful afterwards, soon again he was caught up in the movement of GREMLIN, having to become involved with Academy City's dark side again as well as the Magic side too. He assists Levinia Birdway in the Hawaii incident, teaming up with Kamijou Touma, Misaka Mikoto and Hamazura Shiage. Later he also fights against Dark Matter Kakine Teitoku, this time teaming up with Meltdowner. Thanks to the particular fight, he finally becomes able to terms with his guilt about massacring the sisters. In New Testament volume 7, he finds out about the Agitate Halation Project and steps into it to make sure the darkness of Academy City isn't revived because of it. It results in participating in a battle royale with a group of espers of various levels, all of whom were aiming to be the 'true hero' of the Agitate Halation project. - access-time comment "Like Finn, Access is Chiaki's "side-kick" who detects demons and is the one who gave Chiaki the power to transform into Kait Sinbad and to seal demons; he apparently chose the name Sinbad for Chiaki from a movie poster. He is a dark angel (kuro-tenshi) but becomes a semi-angel (jun-tenshi) in volume 6 of the manga. However, he gives all of his holy power to Finn so she could be reborn, and thus turned back into a dark angel. He loves Finn. He is so deeply in love with her, even working to become a full angel so that he could be reincarnated with her. In the manga, Access becomes reborn as Shinji Minazuki, Miyako and Yamato's son. When he sees Finn (Natsuki) and that she's holding his earring, he proposes to her at the spot. (Source: Wikipedia)".

Ace lives with his parents, who constantly argue about how he has changed due to the lack of good parenting, and his four sisters. Ace is always at the forefront of the Gangreen Gang's schemes and always has final word on whatever the gang does. However, after their first defeat at the hands of the Powerpuff Girls Z, he begins to hold a grudge against them and swears revenge after being again defeated by Buttercup. He is well respected by the rest of the gang, especially by Snake. In battle, Ace tosses cards at his opponents, most of which are aces.

(Source: AniDB)".
- ace-grit comment "Ace is a sixteen year old Vestal boy who serves as the Resistance's Darkus Brawler. He's a handsome boy but it very sarcastic and can keep to himself. There are a lot of similarities between him and Dan that it can be comical, according to Shun in episode 9. Sometimes he speaks out without thinking, but he does brawl passionately. Ace has a strong love for Mira, which he keeps a secret. It is officially revealed during episode 13 in which he follows her voice into a trap (it was actually Shadow). He gets jealous of Dan because of the way Mira pays attention to him. He was the second recruit for the Resistance. Ace battles with Darkus Percival and Trap Bakugan Falconfly".
- ace-portgas-d comment "One of the most obvious features on Ace is his tattoos. Ace's back tattoo is left intact in the English version of the dub despite 4Kids' previous edits to crosses. At the same time Ace also promotes his tattoo to Luffy, something which is truly considered odd by 4Kids standards. Ace has a tattoo on his back of the Whitebeard symbol; a skull with a white mustache and a manji behind it. To avoid confusion between the two symbols and avoid slander for being a nazi, this was changed to crossbones in the shape of a "cross" in the anime, as well as in the most recent chapter of the manga. Ace has another tattoo on his left arm by the shoulder: it reads "ASCE" with the "S" (apparently a mistake on the part of the tattoo artist, or, alternatively, the symbol that appeared on the flag of his old crew though it may also serves as a symbol of his other deceased sworn brother Sabo) crossed out. In the English version of the anime, Ace's shoulder tattoo signifying his name is edited out, as he is referred to there as "Portgaz D. Trace." He appears in One Piece Grand Adventure, once again without the tattoo on his arm. Ace travels around the Grand Line on his boat which is constructed so his Mera Mera no Mi fuels the engine on the rear end allowing it to move. Currently, Ace is one of the two known pirates to ever escape arrest by the Marine captain Smoker, the other escapee being Ace's younger brother Luffy. Ace and Smoker fought to a standstill in Alabasta. He left Fuusha Village three years before Luffy, and he is a loyal crewman and commands the Second Division of Whitebeard, his captain. In appearance, the two brothers are obviously related, despite the fact that Ace is more muscular than the rather lanky Luffy. He also sports rather childish freckles. He is apparently narcoleptic (a trait common amongst Ace's family) and therefore falls asleep on random occasions, making people wonder if he has dropped dead. As far as personality goes, Ace is much more intelligent, polite, and generally more bearable than his younger brother, which prompts the Straw Hat crew to question whether he is truly related to their bumbling captain. However, the brothers themselves are very close, Ace portraying typical good-big-brother behaviors such as asking the crew to keep an eye on his little brother. It is revealed that Ace had a bounty of 550,000,000 in the One Piece Ten exhibition. It is later revealed that Ace is not biologically related to Luffy at all, but is in fact the son of Gol D. Roger and Portgas D. Rouge. Ace took his mothers surname as a thanks for trading her own life while giving birth to him. Ace also hates his father for "abandoning" his mother. (Source: Wikipedia)".

- acedia comment "Alias: Scholastica Age: Unknown Index Name: "Benedict of the Bookshelf" Weapon: Energy Blasts, Magic Acedia is one of the Black Knights in 11eyes. Acedia's first main appearance in the anime is during episode 6, where he appears before Kakeru, Misuzu, Yukiko and Kukuri. He tells Misuzu that even if they don't have a reason to fight them, the Black Knights have a reason to fight Kakeru and the others for the sake of the future. As he begins to fight with Kakeru and the others, he is stabbed through the chest by Kukuri; being sliced in half by her chains and is apparently killed. However just as his body dies, his mask separates from his body and flies away, with Superbia remarking that "Scholastica ran away." Acedia is then shown again in episode 7, with his mask is attached to a doll. He is then attacked and killed by Shiori just as Kakeru and Takahisa appear. Shiori makes a comment that Acedia had a brother called Benedictus whom he betrayed. 11eyes OVA: Acedia makes a cameo in the 11eyes OVA as one of the 5 Pink Battle-Style Ero Rangers, calling himself Ero-Ranger Pompadour Pink. When he strikes a pose with the other Knights however, they all spontaneously explode leaving a crater in the ground. [Written by MAL Rewrite]".

This came about from the image of one of Tezuka's childhood friends who has similarities that the character shares. Acetylene Lamp is one of Tezuka's more used villains. He generally plays more important roles such as Inspector Tomobiki, a role in Black Jack and the widely best role, Acetylene Lampe from Adolf and Drake Lamp from the 2003 Astro Boy. He also shares lesser important roles such as the conductor of the Marine Express in Undersea Super Train Marine Express. In his earlier years, Lamp generally was pointed out by his long face and large round eyes, he was later fitted with thick round glasses, adding to his now signature appearance. Though considered a villain, Lamp has played nearly every kind of role, from minor assistant to big time propaganda activist.".

However, unlike Mujoe, Achoe is an ally of the Jetters. He and Mujoe are not related to one another. Achoe and the Chige-Chige Bandits are wanted thieves in Planet Charabom. In episode 40, he reappears after Mujoe was shot down by Hige-Hige Bandits, now controlled by MechaDoc. - acnologia comment "Acnologia, also known as The Black Dragon of the Apocalypse, is an extremely powerful dragon that flies around the continent or world. It once faced Fairy Tail's strongest Mage, Gildarts, in battle, and was said to have instantly defeated him, tearing out several organs in the process. Acnologia's power is such that even the most evil and powerful Mage in the world, Zeref, fears him. Acnologia seems to have a deep connection with the Black Mage Zeref, as Zeref seems to know it very well, and was able to sense its arrival quite a while before it actually arrived. It is said by Zeref that Acnologia 'Heralds the End of Eras', although what this means is still unclear. Tenrou Island arc Acnologia comes to Tenrou Island, wreaks havoc on it, and fights the Fairy Tail members on the island.[9] In the battle, it causes so much devastation that Makarov is forced to hold him off to allow the other Fairy Tail Mages to escape in his Titan mode.As the two fight, Acnologia is eventually able to knock Makarov to the ground. Just as he is about to kill Makarov, all of Fairy Tail comes back and starts attacking the dragon. Acnologia then flies into the air, and seemingly destroys Tenrou Island, and all of the Fairy Tail members on it with his "Dragon's Roar". After these events, Acnologia takes back up to the skies and disappears from sight. Acnologia was one of the first Dragon Slayers created to fight in the Dragon Civil War. However, he and the other Dragon Slayers turned on them and slayed them as well. Acnologia killed many dragons until he, with the help of Zeref, was turned into a dragon. It is currently unknown which type of Dragon Slayer element he formerly used.".
