When the false Groudon started sucking up every Pokémon in sight, Butler begged Ash and Max (everyone else was sucked up by the false Groudon) to forgive him and help him to set his machine in reverse to get rid of the big, red abomination. The plan was a success and the false Groudon was destroyed and everyone was released. After Jirachi finally went back to sleep, Butler and Diane decided to stay and protect the Pokémon of Forina. While Butler's only major role was in Jirachi: Wish Maker, he and Diane made a cameo during the ending-credits of Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.".

While the blades are supposedly too small to see normally, they appear as cherry blossoms because of the way the light shines on them. World sailed out to sea after his older brother Byojack encouraged him to leave their small island and explore the world. World took along Byojack, who didn't believe he should go with World as he had a disease since he was young that make him weak and frail. They journeyed in search of freedom, and World protected Byojack. World made a name for himself with his immense strength, and after amassing a pirate crew, he got the Navy's attention. He earned the name "World Destroyer", and through the government intelligence agency Cipher Pol was betrayed by some of his crew and was locked in Impel Down's Level 6, frozen in ice. He snuck out of the prison as Blackbeard escaped with his new crewmates. After World's escape from Impel Down, he returned to his crew, who had built the ship of their dreams. World had changed since the betrayal by his crew and his time in Impel Down and now saw his friends as tools to help him bring down the government. This could be seen before his imprisonment, as he wanted a large cannon on his ship, telling Byojack it was to ward off potential enemies, but planning secretly for more sinister uses. One such use was blowing up Mariejois, which he decided on after his imprisonment. Through this, Lelouch sees memories of her past, including repeated "deaths". One shows C.C. attempting to escape from a battlefield, only to be shot in the forehead. Further memories show her being persecuted as a witch and suffering various forms of torture and/or execution throughout history and various time periods, including burning at the stake, guillotining, and the iron maiden. This would suggest a minimum lifespan of at least six centuries. In a special feature included in the series' fifth DVD, she and Lelouch discuss Washington's Rebellion, during which she speaks of participants such as George Washington and Benjamin Franklin as if she had been close friends with both. In the past, she appears to have observed Suzaku and Lelouch when they were both children, having even interacted with Lelouch at one point, though he doesn't remember their meeting. Her individual experiences have led C.C. to become a detached and lonely individual, with little care for even those she has entered into contracts with, while in the past she was somewhat a spoiled and cheerful girl. She also carries around a stuffed toy of "Cheese-kun", the company's mascot in Japan. Her love of pizza is often used for comedic effect, as she was twice willing to risk capture simply to get a piece of a giant pizza being made by the Student Council (which is ruined both times); she doesn't trust Lelouch to retrieve it for her. Both Lelouch and Kallen sometimes refer to her as "Pizza Girl." When left alone, she has sometimes spoken to a previously unknown person through means unknown, which, in episode 23, was revealed to be Marianne, Lelouch's deceased mother, although in episode 19 it appears that she is talking to V.V. as well. According to the DVD Magazine 02, she is talking to more than one person when she seems to be talking to herself. In the past, it was shown that she and Marianne were close.".
