- detective-mikuriya comment "Detective Mikuriya is the old, hardened man who investigates most of the supernatural crimes in Shinjuku. Although he seems to keep a watchful eye on the Magami Five, he usually never gets any leads or closes any of the bizarre cases. The detective is given a small arc in conjunction with Maria Alucard and Morihito Inugami's back-stories in season two. When he was younger, his partner was Ryuuta Yotsugi's older brother. His partner is bitten by a vampire-like demon, and becomes a demon himself, infecting others in the hospital treating him. The new oni horde perishes, however, when the sun rises, but child-Ryuuta is saved by Mikuriya. Now the only family Ryuuta has left, the two of them study the supernatural crimes in order to hunt out the monster that killed Yotsugi. They eventually track down Maria Alucard, but she is saved by Inugami, who warns enraged Ryuuta and sensible Mikuriya that she is not the demon they seek. Mikuriya is mortally wounded by Inugami while protecting Ryuuta, but is taken in by Dr. Iwayama for treatment.".

His efforts led to the capture of an unstable young woman, Ichinose. Through circumstantial evidence, Ichinose was convicted of the kidnappings but not any murders. Ichinose later disappeared herself. In the interim, Yamazaki continued to try to prove that Ichinose had murdered the twelve Matsuda children. However, the case had long since closed, but the haunted Yamizaki refuses to let the case go, keeping the pictures of the children in his wallet. Now twelve years later, the skeletons of twelve children, along with evidence which tied the now-deceased Ichinose, was uncovered by chance at the construction site of a hotel in Hadoka. - deunan-knute comment "As an ESWAT member, Deunan is a specialist in weapons handling, explosive devices manipulations, hand-to-hand combat, and an excellent Landmate pilot. According the Appleseed Databook, she is trained to be ambidextrous. In the original manga, Briareos (her lover and partner) was a cyborg before Deunan arrived at Olympus, and she managed to lose an eye in Volume 4, due to a training accident. In the 2004 movie, it is shown that Briareos becomes a cyborg only after he leaves on a mission and is presumed (by Deunan) to be missing. The following data is from the 2004 Movie adaptation. The daughter of Carl and Dr. Gilliam Knute, Deunan, who is considered a highly skilled warrior, has spent almost her entire life fighting a war that has been, for the most part, over. It isn't until she is captured by an ES.W.A.T. (Especial Weapons And Tactics) team in the middle of a ruined city that she is finally evacuated from the Badlands. She also reunites with her former lover Briareos who is a part of the team sent to recover her. He is now a cyborg, having lost over 75% of his natural body to injuries. She also befriends a girl called Hitomi. The day after she wis brought to the city of Olympus, Deunan learns that over half of the population of the city is composed of artificial humans called Bioroids. She also found out that her new friend, Hitomi, is one herself. Deunan soon becomes embroiled in the fight between a faction of humans and Olympus as some humans strive to wipe out the Biodriods completely. When she's sent on a mission to retrieve the Appleseed, she learns of her past and also of a greater conspiracy. (Source: Wikipedia, edited)".

- devastator comment "Devastator is an immensely powerful warrior, and in that sense the combination of the Constructicons into a merged being is a huge success. Mentally, on the other hand, he's very much less than the sum of his parts. Devastator's primitive psyche is limited to only the thoughts and actions on which all his components can agree, which results in raging bouts of destructive fury. Given the sheer power Devastator brings to these rages, Megatron has no complaints.".
- devastor comment "Devastor (Scavenger in English version) was hired by Megatron for his skills as a mercenary and a bounty hunter for Microns, due to the troubles Megatron was having with the troops under his command. Devastor claimed that at first he did not know whether to accept the contract or not, until he saw the sorry state of the Destrons after their defeat at the hands of Hot Rod and the Star Saber. His mocking lack of respect or fear for Megatron intimidated the other Destrons, as well as earning Starscream's hatred. Later, it was revealed that Devastor was in fact a Cybertron spy working on the behalf of Convoy (Optimus Prime). After locating the Micron called Dirt (Rollbar in English version), he sets his goal on misleading the Destrons. It is unclear how long Devastor posed as a Destron, but Megatron takes note of his "legacy" in deciding to trust him. Devastor performed his spy duties so well, that he surprised most of the Cybertrons when he turned over an important member of the Cosmotector (Skyboom shield in English version) to Megatron. Devastor continued to serve Megatron until abruptly turning on the Destrons and aiding Convoy. Devastor revealed his past with Convoy as a teacher and fellow soldier before taking Hot Rod under his wing. Devastor believes in hard work, but is also prone to bouts of laziness. He served with the Cybertrons until the end of the Unicron Battles. A former instructor at Cybertron's top military academy, Devastor sets the bar high. It was his (and Landmine's) strict training regimen for the now-legendary Cybertron (Autobot) leader Convoy that has pushed the Cybertrons to countless victories. Not easily impressed, Devastor despises cockiness and values only true skill. Like Convoy, he sees potential in the young Hot Rod. Hot Rod is hotheaded and cocksure, especially now that he wields the Star Saber sword. Devastor sees this as a problem. But it's nothing that can't be beaten out of him. - dhaos comment "Hailing from the planet of Derris Kharlan, he traveled to Aselia in order to retrieve a Mana Seed that could save his homeworld from mana depletion. However, in order to do this he needed to charge up a large amount of energy inside of Yggdrasill and that's where things started to go wrong. The people of Aselia were going through an industrious age in which they were trying to harness large amounts of mana for machinery or magitech. This was draining away mana faster than Yggdrasill was producing it, not leaving nearly enough for Dhaos' Mana Seed. Because of this, Dhaos set out to kill everyone who used or studied magitech by summoning an army of monsters. With their power at his command, he soon became feared throughout the land, eventually being challenged by the city of Midgards who sent five soldiers (the game's main characters) to storm his castle. He battled them and probably would have won had he not fled to the future for the sake his people. Once there, Dhaos began terrorizing the planet again but was stopped once more, this time by a group of heroes led by Alan Albane. Using powerful magic, they sealed him away inside an underground tomb. However, the sorcerer still wasn't ready to give up on his homeworld and so he used telepathy to contact a power-hungry knight known as Mars Udole. Dhaos promised him great power in return for his own freedom and the knight believed him, unlocking the tomb with two magical pendants... Only to be killed by Dhaos upon his release. The five soldiers who had defeated him for the Midgalds had tracked him to the future using time travel and so Dhaos was forced to flee into the future once more. However, upon his arrival, he discovered that the entire world had adopted the science of magitech and so he felt he had no choice but to kill everyone... Unfortunately for him, the soldiers from Midgards had followed him once more but this time they were wielding the Eternal Sword, an extremely powerful blade that could prevent the use of time travel. With nowhere left to run, Dhaos fought with all his might, drawing strength from his homeworld and even transforming his body to try and ensure his peoples' safety. Unfortunately, all of this was to no avail and Dhaos was ultimately killed at the hands of Cress Albane and his Eternal Sword... However, during the final fight Dhaos had revealed his motives and the soldiers semmed to deem them just. Because of this, they asked the Goddess Martel to do them a favour and make Dhaos a Mana Seed to send up to Derris Kharlan along with his deceased body... ".
