He received the title "Raitei" (literally, "Lightning Emperor") because of his ability to control electricity. This control grants him several unique abilities such as amazing regenerative power as well as the ability to become a human magnet and battery. Despite Ginji's dark past, his demeanor is one of an unassuming, energetic, and friendly boy with a strong sense of justice. He makes friends easily, often without trying—and is trusting and open to an almost naive extent. But when exposed to remnants of his past, he has a tendency to revert to his darker "Raitei" persona. For comical purposes, he also turns into a droopy chibi, most likely designed after a tare panda. He's frequently beaten up by Ban (comically) for doing stupid things. Little of his past is known. We do know that his childhood guardian is Teshimine Takeru, then ruler of the Infinity Fortress. Before his departure, Ginji founded "Volts," a gang lead by The Lightning Lord, and "The Four Emperor of the Volts" to protect the Infinity Fortress from the monsters of the Beltline.".

He is currently working as a street stall vendor, but was formerly an assassin nicknamed "Hitokiri Ginji" (Manslayer Ginji) due to his use of a katana in combat. His skills in its use are exceptional, manifesting themselves in such feats as cleaving bullets in two in midflight. Coupled with his ability to evade gunfire from multiple foes, Ginji almost completely eschews the use of firearms. Ginji had protected Yukio for a long time and hoped that she would live out her life normally despite her family's criminal background. He seems to regret his past as a murderer, but is willing to take up arms again for those he cares for. He is killed by Revy in a prearranged duel after he and Yukio realize they can't defeat Balalaika and the rest of Hotel Moscow. - ginko comment "Ginko employs himself as a Mushi master (mushi-shi), traveling from place to place to research Mushi and aid people suffering from problems caused by them. Ginko is a rare person who attracts mushi. This inspires his peripatetic lifestyle; staying in one place too long will gather a potentially dangerous amount of mushi. He also smokes constantly in order to keep mushi away. In terms of personality, Ginko is rather laid back, but can be very serious when it comes to protecting people from mushi. He also often stresses that the mushi are not evil, but they merely exist as a part of the nature and try to survive like every other living being. When Nui found him, he was unconscious in the woods, wounded and abandoned. As he had no place to go, Nui decided to care for him instead of making him leave. He went by the name "Yoki" until Nui was consumed by the Ginko mushi. Yoki lost his memory and was forced to take a new name because of the nature of the Ginko mushi, thus changing his name in the only thing he remembers, "Ginko" Ginko's unusual white hair and green eye color is the result of an incident involving a mushi that occurred when he was a child. He lost his other eye and hair color when he tried to save Nui from the Ginko mushi that lived in the pond near where they lived. Nui protected Ginko by telling him to offer them as a sacrifice so the Ginko would let him be. He never saw Nui again and after nearly being consumed by the mushi he adopted the name Ginko to save himself.".

Not much is known about her until the later volumes of the manga. In the anime, the white king is only briefly mentioned as the king who resides in Kyoto with the emperor. Ginko was married off to the leader of Awaji Island, due to the island's strategic importance, yet she came to love him nonetheless. However, the emperor, her father, decided afterwards that the alliance between the Awaji leader and himself was unnecessary and ordered an attack on the island, with the excuse that the Awaji leader was a traitor. Ginko, refusing to abandon her husband, was injured in the fire during the invasion, but was saved from death by Hiragi. Due to these experiences, she wishes for nothing but the destruction of her father's rule, plotting revenge secretly behind the scenes. She dies when the palace in Kyoto falls in upon itself. The first side story "White Story: Fig" tells the story of Ginko, from when she was a little girl with a crush on Kakihito (Higari) to her death in the main story line. One of the many revelations here is that Ginko, after she was brought back from Awaji Island, was raped by her drunken father, and became pregnant. The baby was killed by Higari after Ginko gave birth and asked for his death, but later when she asked for her baby boy again, Higari found another one to replace the one he killed. - ginshi-shirazu comment "Species: Quinx Birthday: March 8 Age: 19 Height: 176 cm Weight: 55 kg Affiliations: CCG's Quinx Squad - Squad Leader RC type: Ukaku Quinque: Tsunagi (Bikaku) Ginshi Shirazu is a Rank 3 Ghoul Investigator, and a leader of the Quinx Squad. Shirazu, like most of his teammates, is shown to have great respect for his mentor, Haise Sasaki. However, he is easily manipulated by Urie, and constantly seen accompanying him, the former squad leader, on dangerous assignments. Although he is a competent fighter with a ruthless nature, Urie describes Shirazu as a simple-minded person. This becomes evident when Urie easily manipulates him into thinking that Sasaki is using the Quinx for his own gain. He easily becomes fired up and speaks loudly. He also seems to be quite exaggerated in his expressions and movements. His primary motive for joining the Quinx Squad is to get money in order to pay for treatment to heal his hospitalised sister, Haru, who he was left to take care of after his father committed suicide. While initially, Shirazu seems to be quite a carefree individual, and seems to have an obsession for exterminating ghouls; both of which are traits that submit to the cocky grin he usually displays- after exterminating the Chimera ghoul known as Nutcracker, he begins to question this attitude to the point where at times he completely fails to cooperate during fights. This trauma primarily stems from the fact that Nutcracker's final words, "I want to be beautiful", remind Shirazu of his sister, whom would repeat those same words in her hospitalised state when Shirazu went to visit her. During the Rosewald arc, Shirazu and the other members of the Quinx squad engage in a fight against Noro. After Noro makes use of his outstanding regenerative abilities multiple times, Shirazu finally manages to get a hit in, leaving Urie to deal the final blow. Together, the two manage to kill Noro, however as a result, Shirazu took fatal damage to his torso, dying while being cradled by Urie and surrounded by Saiko, Mutsuki and Kuramoto. During his final moments Shirazu tells Urie that he doesn't want Haru to suffer any longer and requests that they cut her life support- it is unknown whether Shirazu genuinely felt this way, but Urie remarks later that he feels Shirazu simply didn't want to be bothersome to the team. The remaining Quinx members vow to continue paying towards Haru's treatment. After his death, Shirazu's corpse is stolen by Furuta Nimura (Souta) and given to Kanou who uses it to investigate the nature of the Quinx surgery. He is stated to be poor at tasks that require thought, such as academics or investigation. However, his consideration for others and attention to his surroundings convince Sasaki he has potential as a Squad Leader. In contrast to his loud and violent mannerisms, he is also someone that cares greatly for his team. While prone to bickering with Urie, he shows a gentler side when interacting with Mutsuki or civilians such as Chie. Despite his habit of being easily influenced, he consistently demonstrates a strong admiration for Sasaki, of whom he shares a friendly relationship with. Shirazu has a crush on his superior, Akira Mado, and refers to her as the "Holy Mother" of CCG. His team appear to be aware of this fact. He later becomes a Rank 2 investigator. In the Joui war, he was known as the "White Devil" (Shiroyasha) due to his silver hair and white clothing he wore in battle, which, combined with his impressive capabilities as a swordsman, made him famous among his comrades and struck fear in the hearts of the Amanto. Gintoki has naturally permed silver hair, which he blames for his lacking love-life. He has a big crush on the TV's news weather girl, Ketsuno. Despite his appearance and initial behavior, Gintoki has a great amount of pride for the old bushido code. He takes it upon himself to rescue or avenge not only his comrades and friends but also people he's barely acquainted with, be it a pit-fighter who was taking care of abandoned orphans or an Amanto who resembles a kappa. Despite being a fearsome fighter with nearly unmatched skills, he avoids needless bloodshed after suffering the loss of most of his friends and allies during the Joui war. - ginyu comment "Captain Ginyu is the leading member of an elite mercenary platoon, the eponymous Ginyu Force. His name is a pun on gyuunyuu (牛乳), the Japanese word for dairy milk. Captain Ginyu is shown to care deeply about his teammates, becoming incredibly furious when learning from Jeice that his three other subordinates were defeated and killed. However, he also can be quite harsh to his team members if they fail a mission, as shown when he harshly scolds Jeice for letting Burter and Recoome lose to Goku and running away from the fight. He is also shown to be very loyal to Frieza, and follows any order Frieza gives him. During his battle with Goku, Frieza stated that he did not think anyone in the universe had surpassed Ginyu. Only a few people have seen Ginyu's true form, and Salza is among them. Salza had to fight Ginyu to become leader of Cooler's Armored Squadron.".

He mistakenly believes that the current Kaitou Kid is the one that he started chasing after more than 20 years ago. Mouri Kogorou from Aoyama's Detective Conan physically resembles Nakamori. This was proven when Giovanni and his companions fought with the Black Brothers. Before their fight began, he told everybody that using any kind of weapon is not allowed. But Tachioni, one of the members of the Wolf Pack, disobeyed. He drew a blade and tried to kill Romeo. Because of this, Giovanni accepted the defeat of the Wolf Pack gang in their fight against the Black Brothers. Later on in the series, Giovanni and his companions became more supportive for the Black Brothers. In the last episode of the anime, Giovanni and the rest of the members of the Wolf Pack gang decided to make peace with the Black Brothers.".
