It always seems to be around Kagami Ouri and he seems to be the only person the cat talks to. It shows up at moments that involve the shikabane and shikabane hime, and gives Ouri clues about them. The intention of this cat is unknown as to whether it is friend or foe. The cat is identical to a pet that Ouri cherished as a child, which died after being run over by a vehicle. Soon afterwards, this cat appeared. Near the end of the series, the cat revealed its true nature with the help of a foe shikabane who was once a fellow orphan along with Oori. In fact they all are. The cat was made up of a number of children who Oori's mother (shikabane) had kidnapped trying to fulfill her attachment to this world: to hold her child in her hands. Later, the cat engulfed Oori in a monstrous form only to help him in the end later disappearing without a trace.".
- kuroneko-de918fff-53e9-418c-aff1-788bfa00c49d comment "Kuroneko-sama (黒猫様 lit. 'black cat Martian Lord/Lady') is, as her name suggests, a black cat. (Yasuhiro Nightow has said that the cat is female, and he would know: Kuroneko-sama was one of the first characters he created for the manga.) Her formal name is Kuroneko Kukan, or Black Cat Space. She appears in every episode at least once, usually as a running joke of popping her oval-shaped, green-eyed head on screen at some opportune moment and usually uttering a simple "nyaa." (Some of her appearances are much more comical in nature: one example of this is the first episode of the anime, "The $$60 Billion Man", where the audience can see her leering at Meryl and Milly as they enter the bar, or in the episode "Fifth Moon," when Vash is clearing out the city of Augusta, he fires into the air and is quite surprised when the cat lands on his head with a "nyaa," then jumps off.) Another running gag is everyone thinking Vash turns into her (Wolfwood had said "Though I know you have many secrets,...I never knew you were a cat......?..What-the!?" revealing Vash had ran off.) an becoming angered. Many viewers missed her appearance in episode 17, contributing to rumors that she is a reincarnation of Rem. In that episode, the cat is frozen in the arms of one of the cryogenically-preserved population. This does, however, lead to questions as to Kuroneko-sama's apparent longevity. In vol. 1 chapter 2 she appears and Millie holds her in a funny manner. Kuroneko-sama may have some connection with Vash, but that, like her appearances, is a mystery. Many speculate that she is a reincarnation of Rem, who watches over Vash on his journey. Also, after Vash kills Legato late in the series, Kuroneko scratches him (the only violent interaction Kuroneko takes against Vash in the series); perhaps this is Rem's way of rebuking his decision. However, it is more likely that, if anyone, Meryl is a reincarnation of Rem, as described in her entry above. In fact, Kuroneko-sama often appears as part of a gag and given that she appears in every episode in some way, she seems to be a sort-of "Where's Waldo?" type of character. Her appearances in the manga are not nearly as frequent as in the anime, and Nightow has stated that she is just something easy and calming to draw in between action scenes. His most common response to queries as to her nature or significance at anime convention panels is "Kuroneko-sama is a small black cat," stated fully in English. She could also be considered as a regular black cat that brings Vash bad luck wherever he goes. Kuroneko-sama makes a cameo appearance in Wild ARMs 2nd Ignition. There is also a very similar black cat in the anime FLCL. Some American fans of the series that dislike pronouncing her name have given her the name of Doughnuts. An obvious reference to Vash's love for doughnuts. (Source: Wikipedia)".

- kuroo-hazama comment "Black Jack is a medical mercenary, selling his skills to the highest bidder. He is a shadowy figure, with a black cloak, eerie black-and-white hair, a scar across his face and partially black skin. Black Jack cures patients indiscriminately, from common folk to presidents and yakuza leaders. To his VIP patients, he charges absurd sums. All this has given him a reputation for callousness and greed which he gleefully cultivates. However, to the reader it is clear that Black Jack actually is a good man: he is anti-wealth and anti-prestige, and believes he is actually doing rich people a favor by removing their material wealth. The opposition to wealth and power is a common theme in Tezuka's work: powerful men are almost always portrayed in a negative light.".

His life was spared and he was put under the care of Kurama Temple 馬寺, nestled in the Hiei Mountains near the capital of Kyoto, while Yoritomo was banished to Izu Province. Eventually, Yoshitsune was put under the protection of Fujiwara no Hidehira, head of the powerful regional Northern Fujiwara clan in Hiraizumi, Mutsu Province. A skillful swordsman, he defeated the legendary warrior monk Benkei in a duel. From then on, Benkei became Yoshitsune's right-hand man, eventually dying with him at the Siege of Koromogawa. In 1180, Yoshitsune heard that Yoritomo, now head of the Minamoto clan, had raised an army at the request of Prince Mochihito to fight against the Taira clan (also known as the Heike) which had usurped the power of the emperor. Yoshitsune shortly thereafter joined Yoritomo, along with Minamoto no Noriyori, all brothers who had never before met, in the last of three conflicts between the rival Minamoto and Taira samurai clans, known as the Genpei War. Yoshitsune defeated and killed his rival cousin Minamoto no Yoshinaka at the Battle of Awazu in Ōmi Province in the first month of 1184 and in the next month defeated the Taira at the Battle of Ichi-no-Tani in present day Kobe. In 1185, Yoshitsune defeated the Taira again at the Battle of Yashima in Shikoku and destroyed them at the Battle of Dan-no-ura in present day Yamaguchi Prefecture. After the Gempei War, Yoshitsune joined the cloistered Emperor Go-Shirakawa against his brother Yoritomo. Fleeing to the temporary protection of Fujiwara no Hidehira in Mutsu again, Yoshitsune was betrayed, defeated at the Battle of Koromo River, and forced to commit seppuku along with his wife and daughter, by Hidehira's son Fujiwara no Yasuhira. Yoshitsune is enshrined in the Shinto shrine Shirahata Jinja in Fujisawa. Yoshitsune has long been a popular figure in Japanese literature and culture due to his appearance as the main character in the third section of the Japanese literary classic Heike Monogatari (Tale of the Heike). The Japanese term for "sympathy for a tragic hero", Hougan-biiki, comes from Yoshitsune's title Hougan, which he received from the Imperial Court.".

- kurou-kou comment "The youngest brother after Shouka and Reishin, he acts as the proxy head of the Kou family. Because of his long rule, many outside of the clan believe him to be the true leader rather than Reishin. A man of traditions and family loyalty, Kurou wields the enormous power of the Kou to protest the arrest of Reishin, single-handedly causing nearly half the country to cease functioning when he orders clan members to not go into work. It is he who worked to get their father, the former family head, to pass over Shouka in favor of Reishin as the next clan leader, as he views Shouka as useless. In terms of personality, he and Reishin are more similar than he and Shouka. Though he may view his eldest brother with disfavor, which does not prevent him from taking action on those who would act unfavorably against Shouka. When Kurou found out that the servants of Shouka's residence stole all the valuables, while Shouka remained in shock over his wife's passing, the proxy head ordered that each servant, to the last of them, be found and shown the tortures of Hell. Not only did that happen, their severed ears and eyes were sent to their families to warn them against any such future behavior towards a member of the Kou family. Unbeknownst to Shūrei, Kurou comes to the capital in order to give her more protection than Shouka could offer that when she begins on the path of an imperial officer. To that end, he provides her the protection of the Kou clan via the travel pass made for her journey to the Sa Province to take up co-governorship. Though the mark on the travel pass was of the Kou (Yellow) clan's, as it was Kijin who issued the pass, the special "seven-colored" ink used could only be made by the Kou (Crimson) clan, marking her as a person of importance to them. He intends to have Shuurei and Kouyuu wed, with the two of them to lead the clan in the future.".

When Hyuuga presses them for an answer Kuroyuri snaps: 'do you want to die?' Kuroyuri has a strong belief that those who break the law need to be punished severely, and has a cat like habit of toying with their enemies similar to how a child plays with dolls. Kuroyuri also exhibits a steely determination and ruthlessness when doing something, and does not give up easily- adopting this trait after surviving from an incident in their childhood and becoming a person 'who refuses to die'. However like any other young child, Kuroyuri needs more hours of sleep than their older team mates, so is often found sleeping in the arms of Haruse. Kuroyuri is also a very heavy sleeper, and doesn't wake up when the people around are shouting- or fighting at each other. Despite Kuroyuri's formidable fighting ability, they are still a small child and as a result is easily upset when things do not go their way. Kuroyuri is very possessive of those they like and is easily upset when their friends are injured. Kuroyuri is fanatical about Ayanami, will do anything to protect him, and holds a great level of respect towards him. Kuroyuri was very upset, even offended, when they saw Frau using Ayanami's scythe. Ayanami is something of a parental figure to Kuroyuri, and comforts them when they cry. When Ayanami became injured, Kuroyuri was worried about him and was delighted to see him well again. They briefly usurped Akane Tendo and Ranma Saotome’s claim to inherit the Tendo Dojo and carry on Anything Goes Martial Arts after challenging and defeating them, but conceded their claim following a rematch. Both sisters are the only characters to appear in the OVAs who did not originally appear in the manga. (Source: Ranma Wikia)".

The main female lead and an incredibly wild individual, she is overwhelmingly manic when it comes to Nakahito (whom she calls "Master"). Whenever her antics become too much, one word from her master will make her stop (usually). Very protective of her master and her sisters, she will stop at nothing to ensure their safety. She is impossibly strong and rather handily defeats all of her opponents due to her Mark II Heart. Although she does her best to follow orders and help out the Kagura brothers, her clumsy and ditzy natures prove to be a significant stumbling block. She is the oldest of the Angel "sisters" and assumes a fairly typical "older sister" attitude when speaking with them. Kurumi has pink hair and wears a blue maid's outfit with red trim. She sleeps in a loose yukata and generally works her way over to Nakahito's neighboring futon during the night. If he is not present, she makes do with a body pillow. She loves bathing, and generally does so with Saki, since Nakahito usually declines. Kurumi seems to be a bisexual, as she loves Nakahito, a boy, and in the second season, Nako, a girl. She possesses a dignified atmosphere that leads others to think she is very mature, which she actually is. She takes care of the others, while living in the school, being remarkably calm in difficult situations. Later in the manga, Kurumi encounters Megumi who was unconsciously guarding the shelter room in their school and was attacked while in shock of the recent event. One day she escaped from her cage and went on an adventure, but got lost and was unable to get home, thus she died of starvation, she is now afraid of hunger. Her name means walnut. Her color image is yellow. In the anime, she has maintained her hamster-instincts i.e.: to eat a lot so that she wouldn't starve to death again. Her hairstyle, bao and mouth shape represent a hamster's ears and mouth. She often says "Nano" at the end of her sentences. Kurumi is one of the first three angels that appeared in the series. Kurumi is in the Intermediate rank. (Source: Wikipedia) Kurumi the Hamster (Hamster no Kurumi) was first owned by Goro's friend, Kurumi Kimihoshi. - kurumi-kakura comment "Kurumi Kakura is a third-year student at Miyamori Girls' High School in Iwate Prefecture and a supporting character in the manga "Saki". She usually acts in a childish manner but can be critical when provoked. Kurumi is also bit of a snarky character teasing her teammates and opponents alike. She also loves to sit on Shiromi Kosegawa's lap. Kurumi does not declare riichi during her matches, thus opponents are not able to determine whether she has reached tenpai. In her appearances throughout the episodes, Kurumi's face often has a serious or passive expression. However, she is shown with a bright smile while marching the parade.
