All he does within his leisure time is read any book nearby. He even has his dorm room filled entirely of books. He has always been an honor student ever since he has stepped school but he finds the occurrence usual and boring. He then decides to enroll on a school of his choice that has lots of books, thus ending on Shiomi Academy. He doesn't know the academy has some students who use magic because all he has in mind is about the big library inside the school and the rumored hidden huge magical shelves place. Kyoutarou isn't the president of the Library Club but all of the members always rely on him. On the same note, the girl members of the club always fight about who is better to him as well. He also seems to be a fun killer that he immediately objects the suggestion of the Library Club to spend time on the beach. When he finds out, Nagi Kodachi has been the one pulling the string of the academy all along, he doesn't get mad about the girls he has spent with are actually people that have been forced for him to have entertainment. Despite Tamaki being president, Kyouya truly runs the club and plays the role of a puppet-master behind the scenes, earning him the nickname "Shadow King." He takes care of the Host Club's expenses and will even sell items belonging to the host club members (such as Haruhi's pencil) for profit. In his words, "use whatever is at hand, be it friend or foe." Almost everything he does is for his own benefit, but he can occasionally display a selfless side. He is the third son of his very wealthy and influential family; thus, if he wants to take over his family's business, he must work extremely hard to meet his strict father's high expectations. Also, Kyouya's bad temper when waking up in the morning has earned him the name "Low-Blood Pressure Evil Lord." Despite being Tamaki's opposite, Kyouya has been known to support him in certain situations. One example being episode 8. Haruhi tried saving a bunch of girls from a group of molesters by throwing shells at them. One of them threw her over the edge of a small cliff. Tamaki rescued her, but later yelled at her for intervening and that girls shouldn't try to fight a group of boys. Haruhi countered that by saying that being a girl or boys doesn't matter in the real world. Later, she wandered into Kyouya's room in the villa they were staying at and Kyouya threw Haruhi on his bed and attempted to rape her. She told him that he wouldn't do it because he wouldn't gain anything. He backed off and Haruhi realized he did what he did to prove that she couldn't defend herself. His rape attempt was only to show that Tamaki was right and she won't always be able to win every fight. [Written by MAL Rewrite]".

In the first episode after Benkei, tells him about Ginga Hagane, he immediately grew interested in him and wanted to test his power. Soon afterward, Ginga was given the challenge, went to the warehouse and was suddenly surrounded by a hundred bladers with their beys ready to fight. Kyoya was sitting on a beam watching the battle with a smirk as he waited for him to show his strength. Not to his surprise, Ginga defeated them all easily, and now wanted to battle the blader himself. In a close battle though, Ginga wins over him with his bey Pegasus. Some time later, Kyoya faces Daidoji, a powerful blader and an enemy of Ginga. He tells him that he could train him to become strong enough to defeat Ginga. Kyoya quickly grows suspicious of him and challenges him to a battle, only to lose to Dark Wolf. As a consequence, Kyoya leaves the Face Hunters alone and boards the helicopter with Daidoji. After boarding the helicopter, Kyoya was dropped off in Wolf Canyon and was given the task to climb to the top. Considering the height of the rocky cliffs plus the dangerous weather in the area, surviving it was guaranteed to increase one's strength. In the midst of being cornered from a pack of hungry wolves, he was able to unlock the beast in side of him and fend them off. This was when Kyoya starts to act violently, merciless and had completely forget who his allies were. In Episode 10, Kyoya challenges Ginga to battle him in the stadium to avenge his prior loss. The clashes were fierce, and at some point it looked like Ginga was about to lose, but the constant cheers of the kids around him was able to increase Ginga's spirit and overpower Kyoya. In the end Kyoya remembers how much he and Leone have been through together and what beyblading really meant. However, the nice atmosphere was quickly cut short when Daidoji steps in from his helicopter and congratulates the two bladers in their spectacular battle. Daidoji says that he did not receive much training, and 'thanks' Kyoya by attacking him with his bey; injuring Kyoya badly and damaging Leone. The next day Kyoya wakes up and finds himself covered in bandages. Benkei walks relieved that he was awake. Kyoya remembers about the battle he had the day before and what Daidoji did. Madoka soon entered the room carrying a tray and also showing Kyoya his bey, Leone, fully repaired and polished. Kyoya asked why she was going to great lengths just to help out the enemy. She is finally killed by Eva who has just killed Rudolf and is still seeking for revenge for Hideyoshi and George. Before Kyrie dies, she tells Eva that now that Rudolf is dead, the link between them do not exist anymore and that she doesn't care of Ange. She's rather happy that it happened, saying that Rudolf wasn't enough competent and hoping to find a new love and begin a new life with her money. She is brought up as a male, following the code of a samurai. She is a genius swordsman; surpassing average swordsmen in skills, and is able to hold herself against veteran swordsmen, like Hijikata Toushirou and Sakata Gintoki. During her introduction, she tried to take Shimura Tae as her fiancee, though Shimura Shinpachi and the rest stopped her from doing it. She still has feelings for Tae, though they remained in friendly ties. She usually follows wherever Tae goes and does the same things that Tae is doing. She also protects Tae from the stalker Kondou Isao. She is always being guarded by Toujou Ayumu, to the point of him being overprotective towards her. Ayumu also tries to convince her to wear gothic lolita outfits, which cause irritation to her, blasting/beating him up because of it. In recent Gintama chapters, she became the target of jealousy of Katsura Kotarou, as he felt that she is recently becoming more active in the manga spotlight than him. Kyuubei has a bit of a cold personality, probably due to how she trained herself to become strong. However, Tae's influence is currently shaping a more softer Kyuubei, as they share more time together during their free time. She also has an automatic reflex against men who touch her or she touches (though she did rescue Gin one time by catching his hand). In episode 190 it's revealed that, apparently, she really likes Otae's cooking. Her name is probably referring to the famous samurai Yagyu Jubei Mitsuyoshi, due to "Ju" meaning "Ten" and "Kyu" meaning "Nine."".

- kyuo-lyu comment "Kyuo was a former member of the Septia troupe Phantom, a group of trained hunters who tracked down demon-beasts, capturing and taming them for use in society. Her grandfather, Jin Stolla, was the leader of Phantom and considered to be one of the greatest Septias ever. When Phantom decided to go after the legendary demon beast, the King of the Moon, they had no idea what they were up against. The King of the Moon, whose powers of strength and regeneration were unstoppable while under the moonlight, destroyed an entire village. The Phantom unit tried to stop the beast but they were all wiped out just in one night. In the morning, Kyuo found the corpses of her teammates and buried them. Kyuo returned to Kuruda and tried to hire a group of thugs to help her hunt down the King of the Moon, but they had other things in mind (a young defenseless girl alone in a bar, you get the idea). Luckily, Elle and Gau overheard the conversation from their table, and Gau immediately jumped right in to defend Kyuo. When the thugs found out that the 59th Sevaar was on Kyuo's side, they immediately ran for the hills. Kyuo paid Elle for the help, which unfortunately went to cover Elle's debts. Kyuo offered them more money if they were willing to help her, however Elle was hesitant at first because she thought Kyuo wanted her help to capture the demon-beast. It startled everyone, therefore, when Kyuo admitted that she wanted it dead, not captured – a desire counter to the purpose Septias played in society. Upon that, Elle agreed. During the hunt, Kyuo showed a remarkable talent for setting traps, as well as handling a series of chakram-like rings called chulinks. These rings are an integral part of a Septia's abilities and duties, serving as focal points to activate and control their traps. In combat chulinks could also be used as weapons; by attaching a cord to it, a chulink could be used as both a throwing weapon as well as in a way similar to a whip. That night, the King of the Moon appeared and a fierce battle ensued. Elle and Gau's attacks were devastating, even so far as splitting the demon-beast in half, but as the fight was occurring beneath a full moon, the demon-beast was able to heal even the most debilitating wounds as soon as they occurred, even regenerate severed limbs. It was Kyuo's efforts in the end that saved them, her traps pinning the demon-beast in place until the sun rose, and the King of the Moon's powers waned to the point where it could be, and was, killed. With her revenge now complete, Kyuo had nowhere left to go, so Elle invited her to join the group. She has been with them ever since. During her stay with the group, Kyuo was often emphasized as the weakest member of the group, especially as compared to Elle and Gau's Shadow Skills and Faury's Sui Rem talisman magic. It was also revealed that Kyuo possessed horrific scars on both arms from the early days of her training, a result of mishandling her chulinks. Later on, she met Lowengren, a Vaar who specialized in Open Skills, who fell madly in love with her but whose affections she did not seem to notice. Following the Lightning Battle, Kyuo managed to get some quality time alone with Gau, but Gau's immense progress left Kyuo afraid of being left behind because she was weak. In practicing to become stronger, Kyuo was able to successfully master the Tomoway, a style of chulink-throwing and opponent-capturing which her late grandfather was famous for being a master of. One night during her practice, she was confronted with a familiar face, one that she was shocked to see. Her grandfather, or so she thought. It was actually Iba Stolla, the 55th Sevaar and king of Kuruda, and also Jin Stolla's twin brother. He revealed to her that he was actually her granduncle and that he would use his power to protect her until the day came that she would find a man who would love and protect her. During G's attack, Kyuo did not want Gau to get hurt, and so placed herself on the frontline in order to stop G before Gau would have to fight. However, given that her opponent was a Sevaar, as expected Kyuo lost badly and was very nearly killed. When Gau found her, still alive but bloody and near death, he snapped and in a rage attacked G. Towards the end of the series, Kyuo suspected that Gau was more than a brother to Elle, but it was not until during Solfon's attack on Kuruda that she confronted Elle. As a result, their quarrel was cut short. At the end of the series, when Elle was exiled along with Gau, she followed them from the shadows, so as to keep an eye on them. (Source: Wikipedia)".

- kyurene comment "Kyurene was a Youma summoned by Jadeite to drain energy from unsuspecting music-listeners as part of the Dark Kingdom's continuing energy-gathering efforts. She appeared in anime episode 6. She had the appearance of a bat-like humanoid, with large bat ears and wings, as well as red hair, black fur-coated arms and legs, and a pink wrap. In both her human and monster form, she could extend her fingernails into long, sharpened claws. She was sent by Jadeite to inject subliminal high-frequency waves into a stereo at Jam Records by placing an infected cassette tape into it. The stereo would then infect any other music broadcasted in the studio, and the waves would drain energy from anyone listening to the music. However, before she could play the tape, she was forced to hide. Akiko Yanagi mistook the tape for a demo tape from a famous musician named Yusuke Amade, and took it out of the stereo before returning it to him. Kyurene then began stalking Yusuke, attempting to get the tape from him, and eventually succeeded after cornering him in a parking lot. Usagi and Luna found him there while chasing him down in an attempt to protect him, and watched as Kyurene transformed from her human form into her true bat-like Youma form before flying off. Yusuke, Usagi, and Luna followed Kyurene back to Jam Records, where she put Akiko and her crew to sleep before attempting to put the infected tape into the stereo. Before she could, though, she was distracted by the arrival of the three. Luna lunged at her and made her drop the tape, which skidded across the floor right into Usagi's hands. Kyurene again transformed into her Youma form and grabbed Akiko, holding her hostage with her claws, but Yusuke pulled her out of harm's way while Luna crushed the tape. Kyurene fled the scene, flying through the window and landing in a nearby concert hall, where Usagi and Luna followed. Usagi transformed into Sailor Moon, at which point Kyurene began attacking her with sonic waves from her wings. Sailor Moon grabbed a microphone and threw it in the middle of the sound waves, amplifying the high-frequency waves and blasting them back at the monster through the large speakers, weakening her enough for Sailor Moon to destroy her with her tiara. http://www.wikimoon.org/index.php?title=Kyurene".

Otherwise, he is considered to be the team's leader and is known for his logical explanations of cases. He has a good sense of judgment regarding to people (when everyone distrusted Ryu, he expressed his open appreciation for him) but often says things that infuriate Megumi. Kyuu had been a single child of a single parent (his mother) for as long as he could remember. He didn't have a father, but there's a certain man who had been acting as his mentor when he was little. When he was six years old, he was kidnapped and held as a hostage by some criminals, but his mentor rescued him. In reality he was none other than Kyu's father (Satoru Renjo, Morihiko Dan's very best partner). Realizing the high risk of being a detective, Satoru formerly married Kyu's mother in secret to keep his new family safe. After Renjou's death, Kyu's mother hid the truth from Kyu for years, trying to shield him from the danger that the life of a detective is always in; after he was accepted in the DDS, Mrs. Renjou changed her mind and supported him fully. - kyuubey comment "His name is written in both Hiragana and Katakana as ã‚ュ(kyu)ã‚¥(u)ã¹(be)ãˆ(e). So the more acceptable Romaji for his name is Kyuubee/Kyuubey. He is a familiar who can grant any wish to a certain girl, on the condition that she becomes a Puella Magi and fights against witches. When someone makes a contract with him, he extracts their soul and places it inside a Soul Gem, replacing their body with a shell that's more resilient to fighting witches. He has made contracts with Mami, Kyoko, Homura, and Sayaka, and shows particular interest in making Madoka a Puella Magi. It is unknown if there are other familiars besides him. He can only be seen or heard by Puella Magi and those who have potential to become a Puella Magi. He also disposes of used Grief Seeds for the Puella Magi, because, if they are used too extensively, the witch could become reborn from the Grief Seed. He also constantly tries to find chances to persuade girls who have potential to become Puella Magi to form a contract with him, despite the fact that he knows the dangers that Puella Magi face. Much to his dismay, he cannot force a girl to become a Puella Magi. He doesn't fully understand human values and questions any perceived differences between himself and humans. For example, when Madoka claims that he is cruel for forming contracts with girls and turning them into Puella Magi, he compares his actions to the act of humans slaughtering livestock, saying that, unlike humans, who show a lack of interest and sympathy for other creatures' values when it comes to their own survival, he at least recognizes humans as being sentient beings and tries to negotiate with them. Therefore, Kyuubey is neither evil nor good, just a survivor like everyone else. Major Spoiler: Kyuubey is an "Incubator" and from an advanced alien species whose civilization is located far away from Earth. A long time ago, his species took alarm to the gradual heat death of the universe, and, in their search for a solution to it, encountered a species on Earth, humans, who exhibited emotions, something Kyuubey's species does not have. They then subsequently discovered a type of energy called emotional energy that could be used efficiently counter entropy, and also realized that teenage human females, who are very emotionally unstable during their mental and physical development throughout puberty, harbor the most emotional energy of all humans. Therefore, it is Kyuubey's duty to form contracts with teenage girls and to collect the emotional energy that is created when the girl becomes a Puella Magi. However, it is also his duty to collect the massive amount of emotional energy that is created when a Puella Magi transforms into a witch, and to consume Grief Seeds, which also contain large amounts of emotional energy. It seems that negative emotions such as hatred and despair yield more emotional energy than positive emotions, since Kyuubey comments that the amount of emotional energy created when a girl becomes a Puella Magi is nothing compared to the explosion of emotional energy created when a Puella Magi transforms into a witch. Thus, it could be said that Kyuubey's main purpose is to "incubate" girls' souls in Soul Gems until they become filled with so much negative emotion that they transform into Grief Seeds and "hatch" into witches, and to then "harvest" the emotional energy created from the transformation. Also, whenever Kyuubey is killed, he is instantly reincarnated (for lack of a better word) into a new body with the same appearance and disposes of his previous body by eating it. He seems to have an endless supply of spare bodies, so, it might not be possible to kill him in a conventional fashion.".

- la-andromeda-promethium-ii comment "Every 1000 years, a woman called a Millennial Queen is sent from the planet La-Metal to secretly rule over the Earth and lead an underground organization that secretly controls the entire planet. Promethium, known to Earthlings as Yukino Yayoi, is the current Millennial Queen. Some early movie promotional material identified her as Promethium II, and indicated that she was the daughter of the Queen Promethium of the Machine Empire of Galaxy Express 999 (another of Matsumoto's works). This idea (and the suffix, II) was later dropped, however, and Millenial Queen Promethium/Yayoi was considered to be the person who would eventually become the Machine Queen (see Maetel Legend). While shown with rounder eyes in the anime TV series, she is shown with almond-shaped eyes in both the manga and the anime film and looks just like Maetel from Galaxy Express 999. While Yayoi is Professor Amamori's private secretary in all three versions of the story, there are the following differences: In the anime TV and manga, Yayoi lives on the second floor of a ramen shop run by an older couple who have adopted her as their daughter. She has a tiger-striped cat. In the anime film, in addition to being Professor Amamori's private secretary, she also teaches at a school and lives in a high-class apartment. [Maetel Legend, Space Symphony Maetel, Galaxy Express 999] In the anime TV series called Maetel Legend, Space Symphony Maetel and Galaxy Express 999 (also in GE 999 movies), Promethium, mother of Maetel and Emeraldas is the main antagonist. Unlike in the Millennial Queen TV series, and the movie, La Andromeda's intentions are to convert all humanity into cyborgs, whether they like it or not. Ironically, she puts her daughters, Maetel and Emeraldas in a difficult position similar to how her mother, Millennial Queen from the Queen Millennia series (Mother of Yayoi, and Selen) did to her and Selen, where they must fight for their own beliefs and stop the Queen. Initially however, when Promethium had a human body, she was a motherly queen who loved her daughters, Maetel and Emeraldas. But as she desired for eternal life, without having to suffer from illness, aging, and starvation, she allowed herself to be converted into a cyborg, as shown in Maetel Legend. Soon after, she realizes that she is losing her human qualities, most importantly the quality of love. As a result, she regrets having a mechanical body despite its advantages. When she realizes that her mind is finally out of control, she asks Maetel to kill her as shown in Space Symphony Maetel. Although Maetel and Emeraldas supposedly killed Promethium in Space Symphony Maetel, Promethium's evil spirit still lives. In the Galaxy Express 999 TV series, Promethium finally gets killed by Maetel and Tetsuro, with the destruction of La Metal. [Queen Millennia Movie] Yayoi Yukino, Promethium II opposes Lalela and her plan to wipe out all mankind to gain etneral spring for La Metallians, unlike in the anime where she is pressured by her own mother, Promethium I to destroy mankind in order to keep La Metal's traditional cycle going. In the end, Promethium II dies after weakening Lalela by shooting her with a pistol. [Queen Millennia TV series] Promethium, also known as Yayoi Yukino is the princess of La Metal, and was to become the next Queen Millennia. However, she betrays La Metal and the current Millennial Queen for the sake of the earth and a young boy named Hajime. After joining forces with her older sister Selen, she manages to save the Earth from total annihilation. It is likely that she is the same Promethium appeared in the Maetel Legend, though Queen Millennia series and Maetel's series (Maetel Legend, Space Symphony Maetel, Galaxy Express 999) could possibly irrelevant.".

She is first seen working as a secretary for Prime Minister Triter, the spineless puppet leader of the Illumidas-occupied earth (as seen in My Youth in Arcadia.) She warns Zoll of Tokarga, whom she has fallen in love with, that his planet is set to be destroyed (a job which they had offered to Harlock, and which he flatly refused,) and they form an alliance with Harlock, Emeraldas, and Tochiro, who has built the Arcadia in secret beneath the Illumidas Occupation Force HQ. After Harlock is banished from earth, La Mime remains with him as chief of communications. La Mime is deathly afraid of the sentient glowing disk the Arcadia encounters in its travels, believing it to be the "Golden Goddess" of Alozaran legend, whose appearance supposedly signals the ends of all things. When it becomes apparent that the way to the mythical planet Arcadia (which Harlock and company are seeking in the SSX series,) is guarded by the golden being, she only very reluctantly agrees that the ship should press on. La Mimme is not the same character as the Mime that appeared in Space Pirate and Galaxy Express, possessing no psychic abilities, and never said to be alcohol-dependent. A character chart in the My Youth in Arcadia Roman Album lists the two as blood relatives, but frankly, this is clearly bunk; the two are entirely different species, and never once meet. She is also not, as has been misreported, a cyborg, though a cyborg spy does impersonate La Mime in SSX episode nine. (Source: cornponeflicks.org/harlock/pirates.html)".

Fifty years earlier, Laboon had been left at the bottom of Reverse Mountain by a group of pirates who had befriended him. Since his species travels in pods, he had forged a powerful bond of friendship with these pirates, and he patiently waited for them at Grand Line's entrance. His caretaker is a doctor named Crocus, who normally mans the Lighthouse that introduces travelers into Grand Line. Crocus revealed to the Straw Hat Pirates that Laboon's friends effectively abandoned him by fleeing the Grand Line through the Calm Belt. (although this may not be true as Brook described his crew as being slaughtered in the Florian Triangle) The pirates were recently revealed to be the crew of Brook the skeleton, leaving him as Laboon's only crewmate left. The old doctor has cared for Laboon ever since his friends left him. Although Laboon knows the truth about his friends, he refuses to admit to himself that they are gone. Laboon has many scars on his head from slamming into Reverse Mountain, for he believes he can destroy the mountain and return to West Blue. Monkey D. Luffy, in an effort to give Laboon a renewed sense of hope, picks a fight with the whale by jamming the Going Merry's mast into his head. After the battle (which Luffy calls a draw), Luffy promises to Laboon that he will return to see him, under the guise of wanting a rematch. As a sign of this, Luffy paints the Strawhat Jolly Roger on Laboon's head, commenting that the insignia will wash away if Laboon hits Reverse Mountain further. The Straw hats depart, leaving behind two important friends. Recently, the only known survivor of the pirates that had abandoned him fifty years ago has been revealed to be Brook, an undead skeleton the Straw Hats met shortly before they arrived on Thriller Bark. He has currently reclaimed his shadow, so that he can exit the Florian Triangle, and return to Laboon. (Source: Wikipedia)".
