- masaki-kurosaki comment "The mother of Ichigo Kurosaki who was killed trying to protect her son from Grand Fisher. She was a very loving mother and wife. The Grand Fisher used the forms of humans whom he had devoured (mostly women) to attract other humans with high spiritual energy, and Ichigo, who at the time could not distinguish between ghosts and humans, saw Grand Fisher's lure and ran after it. Masaki, realizing this went after Ichigo and protected him from the Grand Fisher at the cost of her own life. According to Ichigo, Masaki was the center of the family and everything that went on with the family revolved around her. Due to this fact, Ichigo's family was greatly devastated by her loss. They visit her grave every year, and that is the only day in the year Isshin smokes. The reason he smokes in front of her grave was because when they had first started dating, Masaki complimented him about how cool he looked while smoking. He also added that was the first and last time she complimented him about his appearance. Isshin hung up a large poster of her in his home, displaying the phrase "Mazaki forever". According to Tatsuki Arisawa, Ichigo stopped crying every time he saw his mother. She claimed Ichigo had the most beautiful mother ever, and took it upon himself for her death. Isshin also thought it was his fault his wife died. He says this the reason being he couldn't get there in time to protect her from the Grand Fisher. When Ichigo asked him why nobody ever blamed him for his mother's death, Isshin explained to him that "he was the man the woman I fell in love with gave her life to save." He also added that when they meet each other again, if he had ever blamed Ichigo, Masaki wouldn't be able to forgive him. She is a quincy and was adopted into the Ishida family.".

She also writes songs and composes music for her band. It was only through conquering her insecurities that she gained her charisma and it was her passion that drove her to dedicate her life (and her afterlife) to sing meaningful, inspiring songs that would help people get through rough times as did she with Sad Machine's songs. The electric guitar that she is seen using is a Fender American Standard Stratocaster with the color of Sienna Sunburst. In episode 3, it is revealed that she is brought up in a family where her father and mother keeps on having quarrels & fights against one another. It lead her to a fear that keeps everything to herself, which made her become a lonely person. It was until one day she hears a band, Sad Machine, that sang words she related to what she had experience through her life. That was then she decided to sing out to express herself. She found an acoustic guitar that was thrown away, which she picked up and got it fixed and used it to perform. She decided to leave home and continue to pursue her dream as a performer while also holding part time jobs In the same episode, she revealed that she died in the hospital due to a stroke in her head that paralyzed her body. It was during the fights between her parents when a beer bottle hit her head by accident. After singing her ballad during the concert, she accepts her fate and vanishes, leaving only her acoustic guitar behind. It was then the gang realized that they don't have to really obey what Angel says in order to enter another life, which they do not want. Another Epilogue As seen in the line "One needed courage to face the past" and the next scene showing the cafeteria which the band Girls Dead Monster plays, this refers to Iwasawa since it is known that she used music as an escape from her constantly fighting parents in life, but ended up dying from a brain injury she received. Once she faced the past, she managed to move on as seen in episode 3.".

Arrogant and in love with his own legend, he constantly reminds everyone that he will become the ruler of the world and that both Tokugawa Ieyasu and the Mibu Clan are going to be destroyed so that he can become Shogun, much to the ire and boredom of his traveling comrades. Nonetheless, he is a great friend as well as a fearsome foe. Bontenmaru suppresses a beast inside of him, and that's what most terrifying about him. His real name is Date Masamune, the "Oda Nobunaga of the north." His weapon of choice is a Bokken. He is so skilled with it that he is able to use it against a real sword, instinctively turning it at the last second so that it absorbs the blow of a sword but doesn't break. He is also capable of killing an enemy rather easily with a wooden sword. He can unleash the beast within himself using his Satsujintai fighting technique, in which he can enter a berserker rage and tear foes apart with his bare hands. He uses his great strength as a weapon in battle. He can effortlessly defeat small groups of Mibu warriors without getting hurt. His muscles are strong enough to stop blades from piercing his skin. He has a friendly rivalry with Kyo, and much of their time is spent glaring at each other and trying to establish dominance. His Satsujintai is a hand to hand fighting technique, and his most powerful technique is the Kosoga. He swings one fist upwards in an uppercut motion and another downwards to form a vertical pincer, which can be used to break bones or, at a later stage, create a massive crater. (This technique can also be used horizontally.)".

He deems others to be incompetent and often flings the line "Idiots!" or "Imbeciles!" to friend and foe alike. An independent thinker, he rarely listens to his vassals' advice and marches to his own rhythm. Though labeled as an upstart by his enemies, he is actually quite clever and is capable of turning the tides of the battle with his plots. He desires to explore the world and make a new society where numbers can rule. He values his wits, personal material wealth, and power, easily crushed when someone else surpasses him in these aspects. He is willing to bow down to others if it means keeping his ambitions alive. Masamune regrets missing his chance to become the land's unifier though he places importance on his survival as his means of respecting the dead. Though he puts up a tough front, Masamune appreciates it when people praise him. His way of showing it, however, isn't exactly conventional as he may respond by yelling an insult to his listener or treating them coldly. He is good friends with Magoichi: both believe that their firearms are the weapons of the future and share a love for money. He regards Kojūr as his living shadow. The young lord has never thought about life without him, and Masamune is considerably shocked by the danger of losing him. They may not always agree with one another yet the Date lord never doubts his retainer's boundless loyalty to him. In battles and in practice, Masamune/James will never give up and keep working harder. His number one goal was to defeat Ginga, and he never stopped challenging him until he beat him. Afterwards, Ginga became better at controling Galaxy Pegasis though, and Masamune/James rejected his offer for a rematch after he saw how powerful the other's beyblade was though... Masamune/James has little self-restraint: if he disagrees with something, he will really not hesitate to say so, and he will be overly visual about it, shaking his arms around to illustrate his anger. - masamune-kido comment "Border Headquarters Commander-in-Chief. A serious and strict person, and dislikes anyone who breaks the rules of Border, like Osamu did. Like most of his faction, he hates Neighbors and wants to kill them all. Due to his actions, he is the main antagonist of the Black Trigger Retrieval Arc. (Source: World Trigger Wikia)".
