At first, Shiratori only appeared in movie roles, playing key roles in the first three Detective Conan movies. At some point, Shiratori later became a full-fledged inspector. As a child, Shiratori studied diligently to one day become a lawyer, and had even memorized some laws by heart. One day, he witnessed a young girl confronting two juveniles trying to steal mangas from a bookstore. To thank him for helping her out, the girl bought him a drink and made a sakura petal pattern from the straw wrapper, saying the sakura was the symbol of courage for the Japanese police (due to the distinct form of the Japanese police badge). It was because of this incident that Shiratori decided to become a cop rather than a lawyer. Shiratori later joined the Tokyo Metropolian Police Department and worked alongside Inspector Megure, often acting as an extra officer or pair of eyes, though he later became an inspector of his own. When Satou Miwako joined the department, Shiratori believed that he had found his childhood love again, and as a result both he and his younger colleague Takagi considered each other rivals for Satou's affections. Shiratori would often try to show off in front of Takagi by asking Satou on a date, but she always rejected him, much to his dismay. However, he has since come to date Kobayashi Sumiko, whom he finally discovered to be his true love. As a cop, Shiratori is fairly average. He is calmer on the case than Takagi or Satou. Shiratori, like Satou and Takagi, believes that Conan has a lot of intelligence for a boy his age, but unlike Takagi and Satou, he usually tends to care not much for Conan's opinion. He often feels that Conan gets in the way, though Conan always proves otherwise. However, unlike Kogorou, Shiratori will take notice and suspect something if Conan points something quite interesting. Shiratori's attitude can appear cocky when battling for Satou's affections, but otherwise he appears more modest, as in the first Detective Conan movies or when he is with is now girlfriend Kobayashi Sensei.".

She has also devised a system where everyone has one note that they are able to send to Haru as a warning that they are going to kill her. However, after sending the note, the sender only has 48 hours to finish her off, or be expelled. Nio is always seen wearing full body outfits in order to conceal the large, bird-like tattoos she bears. It is revealed that Nio comes from the infamous Kuzunoha family, a feared family of skilled assassins that use illusions, and has no relatives. Upon meeting Meichi, Nio fell in adoration with her and vowed to give up her whole life to serve her. Meichi took her in, with Nio changing her last name from "Kuzunoha" to "Hashiri". Later, Nio attempts to assassinate Haru, while disguised as Tokaku, but ends up stabbed in the chest by the real Tokaku. Nio survives from being stabbed, despite no explanation being given on how it comes to pass, and in monologue congratulates everyone for graduating from Class Black.".

• nipasu description "A female droid who was summoned by Berthier in episode 62. She was assigned with the task of corrupting the Soft Ice Cream Shop Bob Floy, an ice cream shop located on one of the Crystal Points of the future city of Crystal Tokyo, with Dark Power. She assumed human form, took over the establishment, and posed as a saleswoman there. However, the ice cream that Nipasu sold was designed to induce negative emotions and feelings of thermophobia in those who ate it, driving them to purchase and consume more of it. Eventually, the consumers would end up being frozen within solid blocks of ice and stored in the large cold room at the back of the ice cream store, thereby contributing to the corruption of the Crystal Point with Dark Power. After failing to dispose of the victims in the storeroom, Berthier and threatened the droid with destruction if she did not do so quickly. Nipasu set out to destroy the victims, but before she could do so, she was confronted by Minako Aino and Luna. The two had come in search of Artemis, who had earlier been discovered and frozen during a reconnasissance mission to the ice cream shoppe. After revealing her true form, the Droid quickly incapacitated Luna, but was soon confronted by Minako, who had transformed into Sailor Venus, as well as by Sailor Moon, Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter. Even though she was outnumbered, the powerful villain may have ended up destroying the senshi, but was distracted by Sailor Mercury's Shine Aqua Illusion long enough for Sailor Moon to destroy her with Moon Princess Halation. To attack, Nipasu emitted a blizzard of snow and ice from her mouth that was cold enough to freeze individuals in solid ice. Nipasu had dark green eyes and light blue-green hair. Despite this, he seems to be somewhat patient, as he never actually loses his temper unlike his comrade Ggio Vega. He appears quite bored in the fight with ÅŒmaeda, and waits until he has tired himself out by trying to cut through his Hierro before doing anything.".
