- takiko-okuda description "The priestess of genbu. Takiko in the Real World Takiko was born on September 22, 1906 in Tokyo, Japan. She was raised mostly by her mother, since her father was always away travelling or working on his writings. Before she moved from Tokyo, she was very popular in school as well as an excellent student, even being chosen as class president. She enjoys doing meticulous things, and is very skilled with a naginata (a spear-like weapon). She's fairly happy and tolerant, but there are three things Takiko dislikes: octopus, thunder, and in first place by a long stretch: her father, due to his severe neglect of his family even when Yoshie was dying. When her mother, Yoshie, became ill with tuberculosis, a doctor named mr. Oikawa attempted to treat her, but the case was too severe so when Takiko was 17 they moved to her mothers hometown of Morioka. After the move, Takiko had some difficulty fitting in at the school there and often argued with the other students, but she remained a good student and tried her best to be cheerful despite her mothers worsening condition. The teachers all thought she was a good girl, however her new classmates resented her for being a big city girl. Here in Moiroka Takiko runs into Takao Oosugi, whom she'd loved since childhood (unfortunately he is ten years her senior, and a married man!). This just adds to the things her classmates dislike about her, and think her rather "loose." When Einosuke finally returns home after a two year absence, happy to have finally seen him one last time, Yoshie dies. In a fit, Takiko tried to rip apart the book that her father had been working on instead of helping take care of Yoshie. Takiko didn't know what this book was, however, and ended up appearing in the world of the Four Gods where she was to becomethe Genbu no Miko. Takiko is very strong, both physcially and mentally. She's intelligent, witty and likes to know where she stands. She is also a proud young woman, who is more than capable of fending for herself, and isn't about to let any man get away with mistreating, belittling or underestimating women. She is skilled with a weapon, and doesn't care for societal norms. Because of this, she has no prospective suitors (despite her family's attempts), but really doesn't care since she doesn't want to get married, especially if it's to a man who expects her to act "appropriately" and "delicately." However there is a downside to all this. Takiko is quite lonely. She's isolated from her father, her mother has died, the man she loves cannot reciprocate her feelings, and she has no close friends at her school. So while she's very smart, and very strong, she is emotionally weak. This plays an important role once she finds herself in the Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho. She has very little connecting her to the real world (even more so without even her mother to care for), and thus accepts the challenge of being the Genbu no Miko. Takiko as the Priestess of Genbu When Takiko first finds herself in the Universe of the Four Gods she is scared and confused, which allows us to see her strength; she'll fight anything for anyone, no matter who or what it is. After a little chaos, and despite being well aware of the threats and dangers, Takiko agrees to become to Genbu no Miko. She wants more than anything to know that she's needed, and fulfilling a prophecy is just the thing she needs! However her overall motivation remains weak. She is the Priestess for the whims of others, as well as for the hope of using a wish to revive her dead mother. It's not until much later that a return visit home allows her father to convince her not to try and revive the dead with the power of the book. She is uncertain of her role as priestess at first. Despite her determination, the death threats and total chaos of this whole vague process of finding the warriors leave her feeling somewhat nervous. This determination does not stop her from doing her job as priestess though. In fact, she does it marvelously well. Every single one of her seishi have had some huge emotional barrier preventing them from willingly joining her; however, each time she rises to the occasion. She talks to them, comforts them, accepts them, and even fights them on some occasions. As time goes by she becomes more confident and more enthusiastic about her role as Priestess. Her ability to connect with her seishi is the sole factor that enables these people to come together. Each Seishi has a remarkable respect for Takiko so although the group of Genbu seishi seems to be awkward (and full of conflict), it doesn't take them too long to begin working as a team, despite their differences. Uruki, upon meeting Takiko while chained to a pillar about to be eaten by monsters, is initially impressed and amused by her courage... or stupidity. Ignorant of who (s)he is she helps him, and even after she learns of his crimes, she tries to protect him. Although their relationship is quite turbulent for a long while, they even fall in love. In a round-a-bout, I-hate-you-screw-off sort of way. Uruki becomes the pillar of emotional support that Takiko has been craving. He lets her fight her own battles, but is there for her when she needs him. Tomite's first run is with Takiko is taking her hostage to use as bait. Very charming. Takiko right beats some sense into his head with a large stick, and then more so by his mother. Being such a mamma's boy, Tomite is the first to accept Takiko as the priestess and help her search for the other Seishi. It's because of his generous family that Takiko is able to realize that the Priestess of Genbu is needed, making her accept the role on her own terms. Hatsui felt safe enough around Takiko to open himself up to the world for the first time in years. She is a sort of mother-figure for him, and he greatly admires her ability to be both kind and strong. Because Takiko has allowed him to go out in the world again, he can be himself and do what he loves, and he'll follow he to the ends of the earth. Namame is very difficult to reach, emotionally. Given that he's a rock. Again Takiko had to endure some extensive physical and emotional pain to get him to accept her. He follows her perhaps with the hope of having someone he can speak to, and is always around to protect her from harm when no one else can be there. Later in the series he is able to "speak" simple words to Takiko, and it's clear that he is determined to do everything in his power for her. Hikitsu and Takiko don't really interact very much, but Takiko was the one who helped him and Tomite fix things with their past. Hikitsu's pretty quiet though. We can assume that he'll protect her no matter what now that he's agreed to follow her. Inami was a difficult person for Takiko to win over. Since both of them are strong-willed and capable of fighting, it seemed that they would not get along. Inami thinks Takiko is young and truly naive if she thinks she can make the world better by summoning Genbu; however, Takiko's determination and compassion convinced her to join the Seishi. Inami sees in Takiko herself when she was young and hopeful, and is perhaps willing to make sure Takiko's dreams don't fall apart as her own did. Urumiya and Takiko got off to a bad start. With the whole, "employed by the enemy" and rather conflicting interests. He even kissed Takiko in an attempt to steal away Takiko's "priestess powers" (of which, Takiko reminds him, there really aren't any). He's got his own goals in mind, and is happy to kill everyone in his way, but he has discreetly helped Takiko after she loudly proclaimed she would be the one to save his other half, along with some other non-smart attempts to win him over, so maybe he's secretly cheering her on and will help her out once he's out from under Temudan's thumb.".

Atsune Hirata is her other identity. While she is one of older members of Twin Horn Syndicate, Takiko considers herself different from the current Yakou Disciples because she seeks to fulfill his will and ideals which the organization was founded on. Her mission for this "ultimate truth" was put on her by her teacher, Zephyr (who also gave her the blinder). With the blinder and her original staff intact, Zephyr had the ability to control her. After going mad and being recruited by Dark Lord, he uses this ability to manipulate Takius in favor of Dark Lord's plans. Eventually, Takius is able to conquer her internal struggles, breaking free from her ties with him and removing the blinker permanently. To further this transformation she became a Sage, resulting in one final confrontation with the one man she ever loved. During the final battle with Zephyr, her master was betrayed by the Dark Lord, who had been using Zephyr from the beginning. As a result, he falls from a collapsing wall, only to be saved just in time by Takius; however, the two are killed from a spell Zephyr had casted previously; however, this wouldn't be Takius's last appearance in the anime. The voice of Takius would come to Roan during the final battle, encouraging Roan to fight on for he had lost all hope (some believe that Takius has survived the Lord of Vermillion spell Zephyr summoned). Takius's staff would then come crashing down from the air, canceling the attack Dark Lord had intended on using (somehow, the wand seems to contain the magic called Spellbreaker, which is the reason of the canceling effect). Maya carries out her wand as a memory of her. Her real name is Catherine, but hates being called that for unknown reasons. (Source: Wikipedia)".

Realizing that Takki is not to be trusted, Youko flees. In the anime, Takki's role is largely the same and she first appears in the third episode. - takuma-zaizen description "Takuma Zaizen represents the highest authority of the STN-J. His only superiors are the executives of Solomon Japan and, of course, Solomon Headquarters. Normally, he heads STN-J operations from his office at the STN-J's main building at Ravens Flat. But some time before the story begins, he had created an auxiliary branch of the STN-J, known simply as "The Factory." On the surface, its design and purpose seem simple enough: to research and implement a more humane means to hunt Witches: in other words, to hunt Witches without necessarily killing them. With Zaizen's backing, the Factory came through with an experimental substance called Orbo. This strange green liquid has the ability to absorb and thus dampen Witch powers. It's used in two primary ways. Most of the Hunters wear a pendant containing a vial of Orbo as a defense. Although the pendant dampens any Craft that may be in use (such as Karasuma's scrying), it provides an invaluable means of blocking almost any Witch power directed at them by absorbing the energy and prevents an attack from inflicting bodily harm on the wearer. This defense is limited, however, against a focused Witch power which can bypass or overwhelm the Orbo. Orbo's other use is in offense. The Hunters can carry air guns with special bullets filled with the substance. Fired into a Witch, the Orbo enters the bloodstream and works to dampen the Witch's power and render him/her helpless. Once contained, the Witch can then be restrained, picked up by the Factory, and taken to confinement (Note: None of the Hunters understand the exact nature of this confinement; this will come into play towards the end of the series). There is one problem with Orbo. For reasons unknown, Orbo cannot be safely handled by anyone except those with the Witch Gene. Fortunately, all Hunters are Seeds (unawakened Witches) at the least and so are capable of using Orbo. Robin is the only Hunter who doesn't use Orbo: for personal reasons, claiming it disgusts her. However, even as the series progresses Zaizen is continuing the research into Orbo, hoping to lift that limitation. At the same time, there are rumors that Solomon Headquarters isn't exactly thrilled with this prospect, and this may well lead to disagreement and even open conflict between the branches. Touko (Robin's roommate in the first half of the series) is actually his daughter from a previous marriage (which is why their last names differ).".

- takumi-aldini description "Age: 15-16 Height: 168 cm Weight: 54 kg Cuisine Style: Aldini Style Recipe/All Style Food Forte: All Occupation: High School Student Affiliation: Trattoria Aldini, Tootsuki Culinary Academy He is a student of Tootsuki Culinary Academy whom is a self-proclaimed rival to Yukihira Souma. Like Souma, Takumi's vast experience in the kitchen during his youth has made him one of the best chefs in his family restaurant, Trattoria Aldini in Italy. Similar to Souma's style of cooking, he is considered a culinary genius and resourceful student whom use various ingredients to create a wide variety dishes other than his forte culinary skill. It is also claimed that Souma's ideals and ambition is the sole reason Takumi has such strong tenacity and determination to block Souma's progress to become a top chef, making him one of Souma's arch-rival's in the very academy he enrolled in. With the pride of his Italian culinary expertise, Takumi takes his signature cooking style very seriously by making every style he uses as refined as he can. Like Souma, Takumi is very resourceful and able to adapt to use any ingredient to make a refined dish. Like most of the students in the academy, Takumi is prideful of his family restaurant and thinks his cooking style as flawless to anyone. At the same time, Takumi works hard to improvise his skill and to enhance the elegance of the dish, using both his vast knowledge of ingredients and strong will to do such signature dishes without failing his expectations. Despite his prideful and boastful personality, Takumi is a chef of honor and valor who refuses to use cheating to earn his victory. As an honorable chef, Takumi would prefer a clean match so he can see the true potential of his rival. Takumi is also rather sensitive about losing, particularly to Souma whom he sees his skills as a threat to his life in the academy. He is also has an interiority complex because of the fact that he must succeed no mater what and he can't let anything stand in his way, even if he clearly knows about his fears of losing. Due to that fear, Takumi is constantly honing his skills and has a philosophy that winning is everything, especially when confronted with bitter and strong rivals (such as Souma). Most of Takumi's styles of cooking are Italian. In certain cases however, Takumi managed to convert his Italian dish into another kind of regional cuisine with his vast knowledge of the food and cooking method, along with his unique style. Due to that advantage, Takumi could replace any of his Italian cuisine ingredients in an alternative way to create any style of cuisine he wishes to create the non-Italian cuisine. Thanks to his past kitchen experience and rigid training under his family restaurant, Takumi mastered almost every cooking tool, such as a Mezzaluna, a two handle cooking knife which is used by the professional Italian chefs, with incredible speed to make the cutting neat as the main art of his cooking method.
