Despite calling Wang "Brother", he is considered a disgrace to the group and looked down on by his brother for being an illegitimate child. As a child Ashiei is petulant and wild, and his antics are only contained by Ryuu, who he hates, and Tsubaki, who he loves. Ashiei has spent several stints in jail and loses track of Tsubaki and Ryuu for several years serving a term. He eventually catches up with the two while Yuki is still a child. Events surrounding this are unclear, but he takes control of Tsubaki and Yuki. He violates Tsubaki trying to win over her love though his efforts are useless. Tsubaki eventually gives birth to Jun and dies not long later. Ashiei keeps Yuki and Jun, and his cruelty and hatred towards Ryuu cause him to abuse and manipulate Yuki.<br>He is almost killed by Yuki after Yuki sets him on fire, but escapes the fire with a bad burn on his hand and arm. He tells Yuki the pain is so bad he has to drink just to sleep, and he drinks often. He ends up in jail somehow after Yuki escapes. He has only recently been released when he runs into Yuki again. He goes to Wang with information about Yuki's connection to the Seidoukai hoping to redeem himself but underestimates Wang and is killed by him.".
