Anna thanks him, as he realises that the gate keeper is his beloved daughter and goes to heaven in peace after finally seeing her face for the first time. Now as the new gate keeper, Anna says "farewell" to Izuko, who answers with a "let's meet again". Izuko leaves and Anna keeps waiting for the next soul, happy that she now can do something for someone.".
