At first their relationship is rocky considering Lulu is nearly his opposite in everything, but as the story progresses they come to a better understanding of one another. Argent learns much under her tutelage and finds a possible answer to detoxifying his body. Lulu later reveals that she was once a Basilisk herself, now detoxified, and explains to Argent that she had been pregnant and gave birth to a clot of poison that emptied her body of toxins. She gives him a crystallized fragment of that clot, telling him to use it somehow to detoxify himself.".
