Of course negative stains are the worst effect that a person can be affected from. When those stains are caused by deceased people's feelings their power is even stronger and with a longer lasting. Komaki soon finds out that the little peluches, which Tsurumi always wins at the Ufo Catcher at the videogames, are used to "exorcise" those stains and later let them under an old tree. Old trees have a natural power to absorb and purify the stains and the peluches are used as unanimate objects to be used as containers. The old lady also, tells Komaki that Hana may not be a real alien, but to her at least is more similar to a stain. With her funny and tricky behaviour she succeed at letting Komaki sleeping in their home for one night, and using the excuse of the girl's terror for ghosts to make her sleeping near Tsurumi. She also tells to Komaki about Tsurumi's past, a sad childhood where people always looked at him in a bad way, only beacause as a child was simply trying to tell what his high developed hearing was able to hear even when he didn't want to. The day after she invites the girl to come back again, but this chance won't happen anymore. When she dies, her stain, percetible by its smell, brings Komaki to this old tree and will have the chance to say Tsurumi something in the very last moment. Her death was been predicted by months so she expected this and even prepared Tsurumi the best as she could by telling him so. The cause of death (probably a disease) was never really stated, same thing with her name: never revealed.".
